About Mapbox

Mark with Vroma tips
`Mark with Vroma` lets you leave a mark for a place you want to review later while riding. While recording, use the mark button on the iPhone recording screen to save one directly. After the saved time appears, add a comment only if you want to. The mark is already saved when you skip the comment, so you can immediately create another one. You can also say `Mark with Vroma` to Siri.
Even when `Mark with Vroma` is not recognized automatically in the Shortcuts app, it may still work after manual shortcut registration. If it still fails, include your iPhone OS version, Vroma version, and the steps you tried when you contact support.
Control recording and marks with CarPlay
- Before Vroma is recording, the main button starts a recording.
- While recording, the same button saves a mark and shows the saved time for a few seconds.
- Pause, resume, and external camera actions are kept in a separate controls screen.
- Recording cannot start until Location is set to Always Allow. Check this in Vroma on iPhone first.
Connect an Insta360 X5
External camera integration is optional. Vroma 1.3 is tested on an Insta360 X5. Other X Series models are not verified, and Ace Pro 2 is not supported by the current Insta360 iOS SDK.
- On the X5, open Settings → General and enable Bluetooth Wakeup.
- On iPhone, confirm that Bluetooth is enabled in Settings.
- In Vroma, open Settings → External Camera, review the Insta360 SDK terms and privacy policy, and consent.
- Choose the X5 from Search for Cameras.
- Tap Check Status. If the camera is off, Vroma requests Bluetooth wakeup before reading its state.
If the first status check cannot connect, Vroma waits briefly and retries once automatically. While idle, you can start recording or power off the camera. While recording, you can stop recording. Vroma also shows battery level and the storage values it can retrieve.
Vroma does not automatically wake the camera immediately after Power Off. To reconnect, explicitly tap Check Status again.
If the camera does not connect
- Confirm that Bluetooth Wakeup is enabled on the X5.
- Check whether the X5 is connected to another phone or the Insta360 app.
- Check iPhone Bluetooth, then close and reopen Vroma.
- Power on the X5 manually and run Check Status in Vroma.
If the issue remains, include the Vroma and iOS versions, camera model and firmware, the displayed state or error, and reproduction steps when contacting support.
